Day Hike - Rialto Beach

Hike north on beautiful Rialto Beach through Hole-in-the-Wall to the next headland and back, near low tide, as part of the North Olympic Coast Car Camp.

Meet at 8 AM Saturday at the B Loop bulletin board in Mora Campground, reached from US 101 by turning right onto SR 110, right at Mora Road (SR 110 Spur) and left into Mora Campground.

This is part of the September 20-21  North Olympics Car Camp, involving this hike on Saturday, camping Saturday night at Mora Campground and hiking Second Beach on Sunday.  Leader permission is required to assure that anyone registering for this hike is also registering for the Sunday Second Beach hike and camping Saturday night at Mora Campground.

After meeting at 8:00 AM Saturday, we will  drive to the Rialto Beach trailhead parking lot, hike north on Rialto Beach through Hole-in-the-Wall to the next headland, back to the south end of the beach and then  back to the cars to drive back to camp, where we have a camp dinner followed by smores around the campfire.

No parking pass is required at Mora Campground or the trailhead parking lot.   There are restrooms at Mora Campground and the trailhead parking lot, but not elsewhere on the hike.  Camp fees of $20 per campsite will be equally shared.  If someone in a campsite has a Senior Pass, the fee is only $10.  Campsite reservations cannot be made for this time of year, but campsite availability has not been a problem in the past in late September.
