7:45 at PCT north trailhead at Snoqualmie Pass
This is a SLOW paced hike and we are getting an early start at 8AM. Red pass once was part of the route of the PCT. Now the pass is a very scenic dead end. We will travel up the PCT north from Snoqualmie Pass, turn off on into Commonweath basin and then climb thru subalpine and alpine terrain to Red pass at trail end. Features are forest, meadows, some waterfalls, a pond, great flowers, and views. Good views on the way up, great views from the top. This will be an 8 hour trip. We will descend on a slightly different route.
