Day Hike - Red Mountain (Salmon La Sac)

This is a hike to the lookout site from the Thorp Creek trail head . We will go to Little Joe Lake and then to our destination with excellent views. There is a view photo in Lookouts published by the Mountaineers.

We will meet at the trail head at 9:00 am . Drive I 90 to Exit 80 , Head North on Bullfrog Rd and at the round-about junction with State Route 903 , go left into Roslyn on SR 903 and continue through town and up the valley. At mile 13 from the round-about turn left on French Cabin Road (Forest Rd . 4308 . Drive 3.25 miles up that road to Forest Rd . 4312 on the right. Go right and go 1.5 miles to the junction with Forest Road 4312-121 and park here. There will be a carpool site at Green Lake Park and Ride lot at North 65th on the North side under the freeway. I will be there at 6:00 am and leaving for the Preston Park and Ride site at 6:15 am.Those that are carpooling from the Preston Park and Ride site need to arrive at 6:45 am and leaving for the trail head at 7:00 am . I drive a white Escape and my cp is 206-369-5267 and hp is 206 - 362- 5129 .
