Day Hike - Rattlesnake Ledge

Enjoy this lovely forested trail with panoramic views of the valley and foothills. We will plan to take in the views from all three ledges on our way up and have our lunch at the upper ledge before beginning our descent.

  • Elevation Gain: 1,459 ft
  • Pace: 2.0 mph

Meeting at 9:45 AM in the parking lot.  A Discover Pass is required.  See Leader's Notes below for more information.

Vault toilets and porta-potties are available near the official trailhead, shortly after our hike begins.

We will hike this lovely trail which has been greatly improved by the WTA and others, passing through a mossy forest and steadily climbing to the three ledges.

Per the WTA Website:  From I-90 take exit 32 for 436th Avenue SE. Turn right onto 436th Avenue SE, also signed as Cedar Falls Road SE. Proceed about four miles down the road to the Rattlesnake Lake parking lot on the right.  Note: If your GPS or mapping program directs you to 208th Ave SE in Hobart, beware that this is outdated information. This road used to access the Rattlesnake trailhead, but now dead ends 7 miles down the road.
