Meet at 7:45 am at the portable toilets by the lake. *Note that this is a 5-10 min walk from the parking lot.* We will do introductions, discuss trail conditions and group goals, and start hiking by 8:00 am.

This will be a moderately paced hike at 2.5 mph, with a brief stop for clothing adjustments once we warm up. Since the hike is not long to the ledge, we will not plan on stopping until we reach the top...but will of course stop for 10-15 min to enjoy the view.

Please be aware of the pace with which you are comfortable. 2.5 mph is not a race to the top, but it is also not a lesurely stroll through the woods. We want to get in some exercise, enjoy nature, socialize about Thanksgiving plans, enjoy the view - then get back to our cars to head home. Since we will hike as a group, I want to be sure everyone is comfortable with a 2.5 mph pace.

Children age 13 and up welcome so long as they are comfortable with distance, elevation and pace. My adult daughter will be joining us.
