We will hike up to the Ledge to enjoy the fading sunset then get comfortable and watch the meteors. The Perseids meteor shower may  produce dozens of meteors per hour (but no guarantees).  We'll plan to spend 2-3 hours at the top before hiking back down in the dark. Please bring a sleeping pad and/or camp chair and photography equipment if desired. Bring a treat to share. Headlamps and warm clothing are required.  This trip is dependent on clear skies and only for people who are comfortable with night hiking and don't have a curfew!
