The Ledges are reached by a trail that starts at Rattlesnake Lake and climbs steadily through second growth forest. The Ledges, which provide a glorious view over North Bend and the entire Snoqualmie Valley, are reached after hiking almost 1,200 feet in 1 mile. Slow to moderate pace. Directions: From Tacoma, drive east on Hwy 18 at Fife. Intercept I-90 and take exit 32, near North Bend. Drive southbound on 436 Avenue SE (Cedar Falls Road) for 2.7 miles to Rattlesnake Lake. We will meet in the first parking lot. (Driving time from Tacoma: approximately 1 hr via Hwy 18 and I-90.)
