7:30 at Snoqualmie Point Trailhead
This hike is part of the Conditioning Hiking Series. Please sign up only if you are in the course. (Participants: This is a CHS 2 level hike.) This hike is located off of I-90 near North Bend. Come hike a winding trail that covers the entire length of Rattlesnake Mountain. Great views of Mount Si, Russian Buttes, Mailbox Peak, and the Snoqualmie Valley. The map needed for this hike is Green Trails Map 205S - Rattlesnake Mountain. We will meet at the Snoqualmie Point Trailhead at 7:30 a.m. To get to the trailhead, drive east from Seattle on I-90 and take Exit 27. Take a right at the road junction and drive approximately 1/2 mile. Turn right into the parking lot. Do not park in the area that indicates "2 Hour Parking." From Seattle, it should take 30 to 45 minutes to get to the trailhead. Give yourself plenty of room to arrive on time. We will wait 15 minutes at the trailhead for any late arrivals; after that, the group will pile into two or three vehicles and head to the Rattlesnake Ledge trailhead where we will begin the hike. We will leave the remaining cars at the Snoqualmie Point Trailhead. This procedure is what is known in hiking circles as a "car shuttle."
