Day Hike - Rachel & Rampart Lakes

Day Hike - Rachel & Rampart Lakes

Hike to a gem in the Alpine Lakes Wildernes. Rachel, Rampart, and Lila lakes all have stunning colors, especially when they are freshly melted. If the weather and snow conditions are good, we will hike the ridge up to Alta. On a clear day we will be greeted with 360 views of the Snoqualmie Pass peaks, the Stuart range, and Rainier.

Tibbet's Park and Ride at  7 am. We  will consolidate cars from there before  heading to the Rachel Lake Trailhead.

At 12 mi and almost 4k' gain this will be a fairly strenuous trip.  Please be comfortable with these kind of stats(having gone on similar length trips before.) If I recall correctly, the trail to Rachel lake can get a bit vauge due to all the various melting paths in the spring/early summer, so I would like it if everyone would keep fairly close together during these parts.
