Please join us for a fun day at the beach for a low tide walk at the Pt. Robinson Lighthouse on Vashon/Maury Island. Vashon/Maury Islands is holding it's 5th annual Low Tide Celebration at Point Robinson Park. It's family fun that's free, local, educational and all natural. Experience the beach at noon time low tide of -2.8 feet and gently explore the tidepools using proper beach etiquette with the help of a Vashon Beach Naturalists on site. Take a guided walk and discover our native shoreline plants and birds. Take the approx. 25 min ferry ride from either Pt. Defiance in Tacoma or Fauntleroy in West Seattle to Vashon and then drive to Maury Island. Bring a picnic lunch a blanket and stay as long as you like. The lighthouse will be open for tours. Take a short trip and you will feel like you are a world away!
