The Pratt River Trail follows the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River, traveling southwest from the bridge that crosses the river near the trailhead. The trail starts out relatively flat for the first 3 miles before steadily gaining in elevation, however lots of ups and downs along the entire length of the trail add up to more significant cumulative gain for even a short out-and-back route. We will plan to cover as much ground as we can before our turnaround time of 10:30AM while maintaining a pace of around 2.0mph. Our goal is to stay together and have fun, so if we need to slow things down a bit we will! Please note that the leaders will not allow participants to hike ahead of the group, so please do not sign up if a pace of 2.0mph is too slow for you.

Winter hiking in the Northwest is often wet, so please bring rain gear and avoid wearing cotton. Hiking poles are recommended on this trail if you have them. I will send out a "Hello Hiker" email a few days before the hike with more information about the weather forecast and carpooling, so please keep an eye out after you register.

We will plan to meet at 8:00am at the Middle Fork Trailhead with boots on, ready to hit the trail. Please plan to arrive a little before 8:00 to get yourself and your gear ready to start hiking. A Northwest Forest pass is required at this trailhead and there is ample parking.
