Day Hike - Poo Poo Point via Chirico Trail

Embark on a winter hike to a popular viewpoint in the Issaquah Alps. This is a mentored hike for Maggie Zhou with Jessica Umayam.

  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 4.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,650 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2.0 mph

Meet at the Poo Poo Point Trailhead at 8:00 AM, ready to hike by 8:15 AM.

We will hike together as a group, maintaining a moderate pace with hourly breaks and a dedicated snack break at the summit. A detailed email outlining trip logistics will be dispatched a few days before the excursion.

For this winter hike, microspikes and poles are mandatory due to snow and potential icy patches. This trek involves a moderate level of exertion, so please ensure you have experience with hikes of similar pace, elevation changes, and conditions before signing up. If uncertain, feel free to reach out for guidance.

Come rain or shine, we'll embark on the adventure, though safety remains paramount. In the event of hazardous conditions, we will make necessary adjustments or, if needed, cancel the hike.

My goal is to sustain winter fitness, immerse  in nature, and relish the breathtaking views along the way.
