We will take advantage of the holiday to explore Point Defiance Park, including visits to the Dune Peninsula, Owens Beach and the 5-mile drive loop. Possible wildlife sightings include seals and sea lions. Expect to be done by noon, possibly sooner. Route is a mix of paved and well-maintained dirt trails, with views of the surrounding water and forest.
