Join Tacoma leaders and celebrate the holidays with some exercise along the outer loop trail followed by sweets! Wear your favorite holiday gear/attire if you'd like. For those that are interested in socializing more after the hike, we will gather at the Rhododendron Garden Shelter for some outdoor social time with a cookie exchange and hot beverages.

To participate in the cookie exchange, get your oven going early and bake a minimum of 4 dozen homemade cookies to share with your sweets-hungry hikers! Wrap your cookies in baggies of four or more to make exchanging easier. Each person should bring twelve individually sealed baggies of cookies each, for a minimum total of 48 cookies per person. Remember to bring a container to take your delectable cookies home in.

Bring your favorite hot beverage in a thermos or a way to make it and get ready to sip with us while we exchange homemade cookies and enjoy each other’s company. If cookies aren’t your thing, that’s ok! Come for the social time, we’d love to visit with you. If there is a lot of interest, another similar trip will be added at the same location, date, and time so we can visit with even more of our community. Feel free to contact the leader if you have any questions.
