We will hike on good trails deep into the heart of the old-growth forest in Point Defiance Park, where we may see park wildlife. Our adventure will begin at Owen Beach in the park, and from there we will hike out to the Gig Harbor Viewpoint. We will visit the giant Mountaineers Tree along the way, stop to identify flora and fauna, and return to our starting point. Masks will be required. Be sure to bring a lunch, appropriate clothing for the weather, and the 10 essentials. No parking passes are required for Point Defiance Park.
