Our second trip up from the North side will be steeper than the South side, gaining 1000 feet of elevation in a mile, a great workout guaranteed to get your heart rate up, and breathing hard, you need to be able to maintain a good pace for 30 to 45 minutes, with no or minimal stops along the way.

In addition to the items listed under the required gear tab, trekking poles will be very useful for the steeper sections of the trail. Shoes or boots  with good traction will be needed. Microspikes may be required depending on the conditions.

Bring a lunch for our second trip to the summit. I estimate we will be back to the cars by 2 pm.
