Pinnacle Peak Park

Day Hike - Pinnacle Peak Park

Pinnacle Peak park is a great conditioning area outside of Enumclaw, off of Hwy 410, just past Buckley. We will start at the South trailhead off of Mud Mtn Road which has a good car park and restroom facilities. We will hike to the summit then descend the Cal Magnisson trail to the north side; return to the summit; then hike back to our cars. We will stop at viewpoints looking out to Mt. Rainier (if the weather cooperates) and have lunch. Another viewpoint looks out over Buckley. Bring microspikes and poles in case of snow/ice on the trail. We will travel at a relaxed moderate pace.

Meet at 9:30 am at the South Trailhead of Pinnacle Peak off of Mud Mtn Road in the car park near the restrooms.  Carpooling can be arranged from the list of participants.  I will be coming from Tacoma.

We will have the opportunity to walk in both sunshine (weather permitting) and shade from the South TH, but will be in shade under some beautiful old trees on the Cal Magnisson trail on the north side.  There is enough forest cover to make this hike enjoyable even if it rains.
