The trail head has been moved adding 2.6 miles to the hike for a total of 10.6 mi. The hike is strenuous with a stretch of rocky trail and much of the elevation gain is in the last two miles. However the view from the top is spectacular - Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak and more. The view along the lower trail includes waterfalls across the valley. Perry Creek is a Research Natural Area due to the unique plant communities. This is a rugged and beautiful hike.
