Day Hike - Panhandle Gap

A visit to Panhandle Gap has been described as the single most spectacular day hike in Mt. Rainier National Park and also one of the toughest. Come prepared for an early start, an aerobic workout, and amazing scenery.

At least one carpool will leave from the Olympia-Lacey area. We will depart at an early hour in part because the trailhead parking lot often runs out of space. I will provide more details via email by 8 p.m. on August 15, 2014.
