Meet at 8 AM at the Enumclaw Safeway,
We will caravan from the Enumclaw Safeway to the trailhead, via SR 410 and the White River Road, stopping at the White River entrance gate to Mt. Rainier National Park to show one National Park Pass for each car. Then we will park at the parking lot near the entrance gate to use the restrooms there, before continuing to the trailhead at Sunrise Point.
The trail follows an undulating route through scenic alpine terrain and passing ic Sunrise, Clover, Tom, Dick and Harry Lakes before arriving at our lunch stop and turnaround point, Upper Palisades Lake.
On the drive home, we customarily have an optional ice cream stop at Wapiti Woolies in Greenwater.
Restrooms are available at the Enumclaw Safeway, the White River entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park and at Wapiti Woolies. There are no restroom facilities at the trailhead or on the hike. Intermittent forested areas along the trail provide opportunities for bathroom break party separations.
