Meet at trailhead at 8:30 am. Please be on time. Take Highway 12(coming from West Side of mountains to Packwood. At east end of town turn right on Snyder Road(Forest Road 1260), just before old Ranger Station--now a Realty. Road is paved, follow for almost 6 miles to trailhead and end of road.
The elevation gain is actually twice what the books say, as you gain about 600+ in, and about 500 out. Good trail.
The trip is a moderate effort hike, but all hikers must be in good shape and have good endurance. This is not a hike for beginners, as 9 miles can be taxing. Please call if you have questions.
