Meet at 9 AM at the Butter Butte Coffee Co, 105 E Main St., in Packwood.  Packwood can be reached from Seattle via either the Skate Creek Road from Ashford or SR 410 and SR 123 via Enumclaw.  From Olympia, I-5 and SR 12 may be faster.

We will caravan the short distance from the meeting place to the trailhead parking lot.  There are restrooms at both the meeting place and the trailhead parking lot.  There are two outhouses by Packwood Lake.  At lunch time it may be attractive to swim in the lake, if the weather cooperates.  The Northwest Forest Pass, or equivalent, must be displayed by each car parked at the trailhead parking lot.  After the hike, we'll have an optional refreshment stop in Packwood before driving home.
