Elizabeth Nakashima will be assistant leader for this trip.

We will hike south on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) from the Snoqualmie Pass south trailhead over the Summit West ski area and past Beaver Lake and Lodge Lake to the west. About 3 miles out we will traverse a steep talus field overlooking the canyon of the South Fork Snoqualmie River. Then, after a short section of logging road we hike up a narrow trail and arrive at the picturesque Ollalie Meadow with Radio Mountain to the east. Soon after, a short ascent beyond the meadow will bring us to Windy Pass, our destination and high point at 3,800 ft. We will return by the same route with the option to add a short detour to see Lodge Lake.

This hike will be led at a moderate pace (average 2 mph). A good standard of fitness and stamina is required in view of the 10-mile distance and 1,500 ft. elevation gain.

The map for our day trip is: GT Snoqualmie Pass Gateway #207S
