We will hike south on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) from the Snoqualmie Pass south trailhead over the Summit West ski area and past Beaver Lake and Lodge Lake to the west. We then traverse a steep slope overlooking the deep canyon of the South Fork Snoqualmie River.

About 3 miles from the trailhead the trail leaves the old road and descends a talus slope and crosses Rockdale Creek. After a short ascent the trail climbs and enters the picturesque Ollalie Meadows with Radio Mountain to the east. After a short ascent beyond the meadow we reach Windy Pass, our destination and high point at 3,800 ft. We will return by the same route.

This hike will be led at a moderate pace (average 2 mph). A good standard of fitness and stamina is required in view of the 10 mile trip distance and 1,500 ft.elevation gain.
