Meet at 10 AM at the Ozette Trailhead.

We will hike from the Ozette trailhead to Cape Alava, where we will have a trail lunch and inspect the site of an ancient Indian Village and the surrounding coastal scenery, before returning by the same route.  A water faucet providing clean water  and men's and women's restrooms with flush toilets are available at the trailhead.  Water can be filtered from a stream near our lunch spot at Cape Alava.  There are two outhouses there.  On the drive home there is the option for a dinner stop at a restaurant, if covid 19 conditions permit.

This hike is part of the June 12-13 Ozette Car Camp, involving hiking to Sand Point on Saturday, camping Saturday night at the Lost Resort Campground and hiking to Cape Alava on Sunday.  Registration for the car camp is by registering for the two day hikes.  Anyone registering for one of the day hikes must also register for the other one and participate in the Saturday night encampment.  Compliance is monitored by requiring leader permission for the two day hikes.  A complete description of the car camp is located  on the Tacoma Branch Events Calendar.
