8am, Ash Way Park & Ride, south end of lot

This is a nice hike in the Chuckanut Mountains between the Skagit Valley and Bellingham. We will hike up the PNT and Oyster Dome Trail to the Bat Caves and then the Oyster Dome, which is a big viewpoint of the Samish Sea and San Juan Islands near and far! We will then continue on to Lily Lake where we will reconnect with the PNT and hike that trail back down to the trailhead, passing another great viewpoint on the way down.

If the weather is poor enough to hide the great views, we will instead hike to Fragrance and Lost Lakes (10+ miles, 2000ft. gain), not far down the road from Oyster Dome. Since the weather can be so unpredictable I may not make the  decision between the Oyster Dome and the lakes until we are up there at Chuckanut Park & Ride so I can get a visual on the weather up there in the area. I will email people on hike roster to keep them updated.
