Day Hike - Olympia Center
Many Birds change throughout the seasons- Spring and Summer birding can be a busy time for the Birding Naturalist. Join Seattle Naturalist and Mountaineer member Thomas Bancroft for a 2 hour workshop/lecture, then a join us on a local Field Trip to learn more. Thomas has been a birder all his life and has a PH.d in Ornithology. He in the past he has served as Chief Scientist for National Audubon, and since coming to the PNW has just finished a 6 year appointment to Washington Audobon's Board. He is an active Seattle Mountaineer naturalist field trip leader and teaches frequently for the Washington Ornithological Society.

Required Equipment
Be prepared to take notes at the Lecture. A Smart phone app will be recommended for field ID, and Binoculars are always useful for the outings.
