Day Hike - North Fork Skokomish River to Camp Pleasant

Late winter/early spring hike up the North Fork Skokomish. Expect mud and magnificent forest.

  • Moderate/Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 500 ft
  • Pace: 2.0 mph on average

My goals for this trip are:

1.  Be safe.

2.  Get a good long walk in the old-growth forests of the Skokomish.

3.  Check for signs of spring.

My expectations for trip participants are:

1.  Practice Leave No Trace principles.

2.  Be respectful of all participants.

3.  Have the necessary physical conditioning for this trip. The route is long-ish but with minimal elevation gain.

4.  Have the necessary gear to be safe and comfortable in March in the mountains. Think rain gear, gaiters, extra gloves, etc.

Staircase parking lot at 0800.
