Day Hike - North Fork Sauk River
The North Fork Sauk River is one of the few old growth low elevation forests on the west side of the Cascades. It has many great trees and is loaded with mosses as well.

Meet at 7:30 am at the Ravenna P&R beneath I-5 at 65th north. We will be north of 65th at the far north end of the parking lot.
This will be a Naturalist's trip so we will stop at times for appreciation and identification. Between stops we will hike at a moderate pace. I haven't visited this particular hike for many years but I know this valley has a reputation for magnificent old growth. It will be fun to explore the Sauk valley together. I would think a camera would be a good choice. Also bring a loupe as we can work on some mosses as well.
