Day Hike - Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge
An easy Family Hike of 4 miles within the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. Priority is given to kids with family. We will hike along the Twin Barns and Nisqually Estuary trails watching for birds and other wildlife along the way.

Meeting place and time will be determined by the participating families. This will be a morning activity.
We will hike along the Twin Barns and Nisqually Estuary trails reaching the Puget Sound viewing platform. We will view birds and other wildlife. Binoculars are recommended. We will take numerous stops along the way so the kids can look for various wildlife. There is no elevation gain, but kids should be able to walk the four miles total. This is good hike for elementary school aged youth.
Families need to be prepared with the 10 essentials and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
