Dec. 20, Sun. – Mt. Pete (E) (GT Enumclaw #237 or King County on-line map) 2 mi., 1000’ gain. Family hike, especially for children, but anyone is welcome. Moderate/slow pace. Overlooking Enumclaw, this is a nice forested hike in a King County Park (Mount Peak Park). This little hump is known locally as Mt. Pete, Mt. Peak, and on the USGS map as Pinnacle Peak. The trail has interesting columnar basalt near the summit. Contact leader Anne Whitney at 360-753-6526 or
