Mount Zion

Day Hike - Mount Zion

Trip changed due to search & rescue on planned Gray Wolf River trail. Join the Tacoma Singles Committee for this hike along the Gray Wolf River in the Olympic National Forest! We'll enjoy graveled beaches along the riverside as well as beautiful trees and lush moss on this well maintained but often overlooked trail. Singles are encouraged to participate in this hike, but all are welcome!

Meet at the Narrows Park & Ride in Tacoma at 7:30 a.m. We will leave the Park & Ride at 7:45 so we can arrive at the trailhead and start hiking before 10. The Park & Ride is located at 7201 6th Ave, Tacoma and is across the street from Tacoma Musical Playhouse. The trailhead parking lot only has room for 3 cars so we will try to consolidate down into two cars.

This trail can get muddy in some spots since it is close to the river, so consider bringing gaiters and trekking poles!

Trip originally planned along the Gray Wolf River Trail, had to change at the last minute to Mount Zion due to search & rescue looking for a missing hiker on the Gray Wolf trail.
