Olallie State Park trailhead 7:30am

This is a conditioner for Olympia Alpine Scrambling and Basic Climbing students who need a conditioner per course requirements.   Please do not sign up if you do not meet this criteria until 12:01am on March 10th otherwise you will be dropped.

Club minimum standards is to go 3 miles of at least 800ft/mi over 2 hours carrying a 30 lb. pack.  As such, we need to get to the top in 2 hours 34 minutes.

We take a layer break around the 15 minute mark and a short break at the 1 hour and 2 hour marks keeping our pace so that we can make it to the top in our allotted time.

You should be carrying 30lbs on the way up.  I recommend carrying either extra water that you can dump at the top, or perhaps a mini watermelon to share with the group.

Possibly microspikes -- Trip leader will send a prospectus to group prior to trip with updated gear list.
