Day Hike - Mount Washington (Snoqualmie)
Join me on this brisk winter conditioner of 8 miles and 3200 feet of gain, to a high point with hopefully some peek a boo views of Chester Morse lake and the Snoqualmie valley.

Let's meet at 8AM at the trailhead parking lot. Toilet facility is open! Bring your Discover Pass! I estimate that we'll be approximately 2PM getting back to our vehicles.
The Mountaineers do not recommend carpooling at this time unless with members of your household or 'pod'.
We'll maintain a steady 2-2.5 mph pace with only short periodic rest breaks to make this a nice conditioner. Microspikes and winter layers are required and trekking poles strongly advised on this packed-snow route, as well as your ten essentials beefed up in case of a winter emergency. We'll stop for a 20 minute lunch at the top. Up to date weather and resulting gear guidance will be shared as the date gets closer.
Leader permission is required - please share your recent hikes at a similar pace, distance and gain in your permission request to be approved. If you haven't done a hike of similar length and gain at a 2 mph pace or more in the past couple of weeks, this won't be the hike for you and I'll be happy to help you find a different one. I will ask that the group stay together on the trail to support each other.
This hike will follow Mountaineers Covid-19 guidelines which means that you'll be asked to have a mask ready to pull up whenever you are within 6 feet of anyone else, and to have hand sanitizer handy.
