Day Hike - Mount Washington (Snoqualmie)

Conditioning hike with priority to Olympia Branch Scrambling and Basic Climbing students. This is a strenuous, 8 mile hike with 3,200 ft in elevation gain. It is a mentored lead hike for Jerry Unmuth. Please email Jerry for information regarding this hike.

  • Pace: 1000 feet elevation per hour.

We will meet at 6:30 AM at the Martin Way Park and Ride in Lacey. We will probably make a stop at Safeway in North Bend to use restrooms and grab coffee.

Please email Jerry Unmuth (gaunmuth@reachone.com) for permission to register for this hike. Pack weight should match your current course recommendations. As always, bring 10 essentials. Plan on bringing micro-spikes or crampons, which may be required depending on conditions. If there is still room, scrambling and basic climbing students from other Mountaineer branches can contact Jerry for permission to register beginning April 30th. Discover Pass is required for parking at trailhead. Additional details will be emailed to participants about 10 days prior to hike date.
