There is snow on this trail close to the summit but with yak tracks or some other tracking devices it should be okay. Poles or ice axe are recommended. Gaiters are recommended. Bring 10 essentials and extra batteries for your headlights. Not very known hike with excellent views of Mt. Si, North Band Valley, Mt. Teneriffe, Mailbox, other peaks along I-90, Mt. Rainer, Rattlesnake Lake, Ledge etc. A perfect place to watch sunset over the Olympics. Pace will be a little bit faster than moderate. We'll try to get to the summit with not too many breaks and breaks will be very short. The summit of this hike is always full of bugs during summer time so this is the perfect time to get there and enjoy wonderful views. We will be leaving meeting place sharply at 4:30 PM so be on time. Planning to start this hike at 5 pm and finish it by 9 pm or a little bit later.
