7:30am meet - Haggen Parking Lot West Olympia (1313 Cooper Pt. Rd) or 9:00am meet at the trailhead.

We will hike to the top of Mt. Walker where we will have terrific views of nearby Hood Canal and both the Olympics and the Cascades off in the distance.  We will go up the main trail and likely down the road back the trailhead.  Additional option afterwards of 1.5 mile nearby Falls View Canyon Loop for a total of 6.5 miles.   This is a good hike to start getting back in shape.  I go at a moderate pace -- fast enough to get a good workout, but taking breaks along the way for water/snacks/photos.  Plan on bringing microspikes/traction devices.
