Day Hike - Mount Walker

End the year on a high note. (No, we will not be singing.)

  • Elevation Gain: 2,000 ft

Meet at the trailhead at 0900. (Note the gate is closed.  Just park on side of Mt Walker Road in front of the gate.)

2 miles up with 2000 ft elevation gain.  we'll have lunch and, if weather is nice, enjoy the views before  coming back down. we may hike back down the now-closed road for a little extra milage.  micro spikes or similar traction devices might be helpful as might trekking poles.

some of us will be camping at dosewallips state park the night before the hike.  email me ( if you want to camp.  (it will be COLD; a good time to test cold weather gear.)
