Mount Walker


Day Hike - Mount Walker

A Sunday afternoon double Walker conditioning hike. Intended for Basic Climbing students and graduates, but all are welcome.

Meet at the Mt. Walker trailhead, ready to move at 12:00 noon.

This will be two round trips of Mt. Walker, back-to-back. We will target a moderate conditioning pace (about one hour, ten minutes on each uphill lap), with a break at the top of each lap for snacks/restroom/etc. Expect a total trip duration of about 4.5 hours.

In addition to your  ten essentials, bring an amount of pack weight that will be a good workout for you. Basic Climbing students  should eventually be targeting 35-40+ pounds for this route, but if you're not there yet, no problem!  Come as you are and with the weight you want to work on.
