Day Hike - Mount Townsend

A day hike up Mt. Townsend. Bring a map and we'll identify the peaks surrounding Mt. Townsend (weather permitting). We'll start at the lower Mt. Townsend trailhead for better parking and a nice stroll through beautiful woods.

We'll meet at the Poulsbo Nazarene Church Park & Ride at 7:30 am.

We'll depart the park and ride at 7:45 and make our way to the lower Mt. Townsend parking area.

If anyone is coming from Seattle, I can pick up 3 people from the Bainbridge Island ferry.

Mt. Townsend is a lovely hike, especially with good weather. You can see many mountains around you, and there are wide, panoramic views to the east, including Seattle and the Cascades.

Bring a snack to eat at the summit and plenty of water, especially if the weather is going to be warm. Don't forget sunscreen or a hat if it's going to be sunny.
