9 AM Mount Si trailhead. Discover pass required for parking.
Moderate paced hike up Mount Si, about 2 mph. If you are faster you are welcome to go ahead, just be prepared with warm clothing because you will be waiting for the rest of the group. Or, add jugs of water as weight to your pack if you are planning on extra stuffing and gravy later in the day.
As of 11/21/2019, the upcoming weather forecast predicts rain, cold temperatures and snow. I expect there may be some ice and/or snow near the top. I recommend that hikers bring boot traction (example: microspikes) and or trekking poles. If there is no snow these items will not be necessary. Let's hope for the best and be prepared for what the forecast may bring.
I can't make any promises as to what time we'll be done, it depends on the slowest hiker and how long of a break we take up top, but under usual circumstances I would expect to be back at the trailhead no later than 2:30 PM.
