Alpine Scramble - Mount Si Main Trail

[After work conditioning hike- with option to do Haystack] Beautiful hike up to the base of this less traveled mountain. With an option to scramble to the haystack if people want to. Priority to Jim Nelson/ Kelsey's Basic SIG / Manisha-Vineeth's basic SIG Priority to Seattle basic climbing and Seattle alpine scrambling students

  • Elevation Gain: 3,150 ft

Meet at the trail head at 4.45PM. Start hiking at 5.00PM. Aim to be at the base of the haystack - before sunset  (currently lingering a little past 7PM) 

We will aim to hike and be at the base of the haystack in under 2 hours. While carrying 20+% equivalent of your body weight (25lbs+) in your backpack

 

Leaders permission required to assess group goal

1. Which course you are taking/ took with the mountaineers?

2. Are you signing up for a time trial?

3. Which location will you be driving from? (This for me to arrange carpools for the group)

4. If you want to do the Haystack scramble (Y/N)
