Olympia Basic Climbing/Alpine Scramble conditioner. Open to Oly BC/AS students only through 2/7/19 9:00pm. Please note that if you are not an Oly BC/AS student and sign up prior to that time, you will be dropped.

Olympia people meet at 6:30am at Martin Way P&R (I-5 exit 109)

Everyone else can meet at the trailhead at 8:00am

This is a qualifying conditioner for BC/AS students for Olympia branch only.  Our target will be to the top of Mt. Si in 2:40.  Participants must carry 30lb pack.  I will be bringing my pack scale.

I keep a moderate pace which is generally fast enough to keep the heart pumping but not so fast that you can't talk to others on the trip.  We'll take short breaks for water/snacks/photos as needed.  Though the obvious goal is for students to gain conditioner credit, this is a great opportunity to test our your gear and to get in shape for summer scramble/climbing trips.

If you sign up prior to 2/7/19 9:00pm and you are not an Oly BC/AS student, you will be dropped from the trip.

Please refer to your BC/AS guides for more information about conditioners.  For conditioner credit, you must demonstrate the ability to travel 3 miles in 2 hours, gaining an average of 800'/mile, carrying at least 30 lbs
