Mount Si Main Trail

Trip

Day Hike - Mount Si Main Trail

Mostly private Si-Teneriffe half-traverse with a focus on navigation

  • Moderate/Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 11.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,150 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 4,114 ft

TBA - will probably start hiking around 8am.

We will take the Mt Si new trail up, then head east on the forest road towards Teneriffe. We will descend on the forest road, then take one of the connector trails to bring us back to the Mt. Si trailhead.

We will aim to keep moving (~ 1.75 mph pace), but stop at several junctions to take compass bearings and discuss the route. There will be one dog on the trip.

Leader permission required: in your note, please tell me about your navigation skills, especially map & compass.

Please bring microspikes.
