Meet at the Mt. Si Trailhead @ 9am. Discover pass needed. Carpooling is recommended as the trailhead tends to get quite congested. Contact me if you need help arranging a carpool. I'll be coming from Issaquah and able to meet at the Issaquah Highlands Park & Ride right off exit 18.
Join us for a moderately paced hike up one of the iconic Cascade Foothills peaks and enjoy some spectacular view of the Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier (weather permitting!). We will plan to take breaks along the way for hydration and snacks and enjoy our lunch and each other's company at the top.
This is a great hike for anyone but with 3200' elevation gain over the 3.9 miles to the top you can expect it to be fairly taxing even with a break or two along the way. We will follow the main trail (not the Talus loop) and reach the top as a group.
Bring your lunch and plenty of water! Don't forget your ten essentials! We will plan to return to the trailhead around 1:30-2pm.
I highly recommend trekking poles and microspikes (given the time of year, we may not see much snow/ice except for right at the top).
