  • Very Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 6.4 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 3,500 ft
  • Pace: 800-1000 ft/hour

TBD depending on conditions. Likely at the trailhead no later than 9 AM.

This is a pre-conditioner for the Olympia Alpine Scrambling course. This is intended to be a baseline hike for scrambling students - to figure out what you need to work on in order to be ready for the conditioner. We will go at a pretty steady pace up Mt. Rose. This trip likely will not meet requirements for the course conditioner - but it will be a good fitness hike to get you ready for scrambling.

If you're feeling a little intimidated by the conditioning requirements for the course, this is a good hike for you. Co-leaders are friendly and encouraging! Please reach out if you have questions. To sign up, please send Anna an email at the email address listed on her profile.
