Day Hike - Mount Rose

This is a conditioning hike for Olympia Mountaineers in the basic climbing and scrambling classes. It's 3,500 feet elevation gain and 6.4 miles round trip if we do the loop, which is likely. To count as a conditioner for the class, hikers will need to carry 30 or so pounds, and complete the three miles to the summit in 3 hours. It's a straight forward trail and, while a rapid ascent with some difficult spots, otherwise it's without serious terrain hazards.
