7:30 AM at Mariner Park and Ride - South Everett.

Mt. Pilchuck rises 1 mile above the surrounding countryside and is perched on the western edge of the Cascades. Panoramic views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, the Olympics, Seattle, and the San Juans are just some of what can be seen on a clear from this historical and restored fire lookout. 

For this hike at this time of year, it is imperative you have all the 10 Essentials, are not wearing cotton clothing, and have appropriate footwear, i.e. no tennis shoes, trail runners, or FiveFingers®.  At the Park and Ride if it appears you do not have the 10 Essentials, you will not be allowed to participate on this hike.

A Northwest Forest Pass or National Forest Recreation Day Pass is required to park at the trailhead. The pace for this hike will be ~2mph.
