7:30 AM at Mariner Park and Ride - South Everett
Mt. Pilchuck rises 1 mile above the surrounding countryside and is perched on the western edge of the Cascades. Panoramic views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, the Olympics, Seattle, and the San Juans are just some of what can be seen on a clear from this historical and restored fire lookout. Please bring the 10 Essential System, do not wear cotton clothing, and have appropriate footwear, i.e. no tennis shoes, trail runners, or FiveFingers®. A Northwest Forest Pass or National Forest Recreation Day Pass is required to park at the trailhead. The pace for this hike will be ~2mph.
