9:00 AM at Verlot Ranger Station
Meet at Verlot Ranger station at 9am. It is about 15 minutes beyond Granite Falls. This is one of the prettier Fall hikes, with the reds, yellows, oranges, and greens contrasting sharply with the white granite. If you want to hike with other slower paced Mountaineers on what promises to be a dry Sunday, sign up. If you need a carpool, sign up for that, and meet us at the Ranger station. It opens at 8am if you need a day parking permit. These dry fall days are precious. Don't waste them! Don't forget that camera!
